WARRANTY:
Two year UK warranty for MAXON Tail Lift products
Term of warranty:
1st Year - Parts & Labour, 13 months from date of dispatch from MAXON, Peterborough.
2nd Year - Parts only, 25 months from date of dispatch from MAXON, Peterborough.
What is covered?
Repair costs in the event of product failure. MAXON agrees to replace any components which are found to be defective during the first two years of service, and in the first year will reimburse for labour based on MAXON's agreed labour rates, out of hour's attendance rates and reasonable travelling allowances, where applicable.
One year UK warranty for genuine MAXON spare parts
Term of warranty:
1 Year - Part Replacement only, 12 months from date of purchase.
What is covered?
MAXON will replace all genuine MAXON spare parts in the event of failure within the first year and will guarantee all returned genuine MAXON replacement parts upon receipt and inspection of parts and original invoice.

NOTES:
Providing the repair falls within the scope of the warranty you will not be charged.
All replacements parts will be sent out via ground freight.
If a rush shipment is requested, all freight charges will be billed to the requesting party.
In all cases, a covering authority will be requested by the attending Service Engineer.
What is not covered by MAXON's warranty?
The warranty shall not apply unless the product is installed, operated and maintained in accordance with MAXON's specifications as set forth in MAXON's Installation, Operation and Maintenance manuals. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or adjustments, damage or malfunction caused by improper handling, installation, abuse, misuse, negligence, or carelessness of operation. In addition, this warranty does not cover equipment that has had unauthorised modifications or alterations made to the product. Exclusions include, but are not limited to:
1. Breakdown, repair and parts costs caused by the following:
• Wear and tear.
• Paint finish.
• Scuff plates.
• Buffers.
• Rear closure sealing kit.
• Hydraulic pipe and hose failure.
• Routine adjustments, replacement of lamps or fuses.
• Topping up of hydraulic fluid levels.
• Non original components.
2. Claims for parts which are missing, lost or become loose.
3. Installation defects when the tail lift has not been installed by authorised personnel.
4. Claims where overload, abuse of the equipment, inappropriate use,
damage or lack of maintenance is deemed the cause of failure.
5. Total loss of the product due to non-availability of parts.
6. Compensation for the loss of product or consequential loss of kind.
7. Call out charges where no fault has been found with the product.
8. Any additional work performed beyond the scope of warranty repair.
9. Additional labour and travel costs when the vehicle is able return to be repaired at a depot or service facility.
Are there any other limitations?
MAXON's warranty policy does not include the reimbursement for towing, vehicle rental, service calls, oil, batteries, fabricated parts, or loss of income due to downtime.
Limitations for warranty claims include:
1. Warranty is limited to the UK.
2. Repairs must be made by MAXON Approved Service Agent.
3. Tail lifts must be fitted and maintained in accordance with MAXON recommendations, including an annual weight test.
4. Evidence of regular service and weight test may be required to verify a warranty claim.
5. No unauthorised modifications are to have been carried out.
6. Only genuine MAXON replacement parts will be used.
7. Faulty parts are to be retained and made available for inspection by MAXON.
